Rear Seat Fuse Access & Change - Mauro

Well folks, here is the location of the fuse and how to get to it:

  • Pull the fuse cover off,

  • Remove the two torx screws you see there,

  • Remove the two "hidden" torx screws under the lower dash

  • Pull the lower dash down

  • Disconnect the vag-com port so as not to strain it.

  • Get down real low.

  • Look at the relay panel, at the top right of it, there will be a fuse in an orange holder(at least on my car) That be the fuse for the rear seat power outlet.

Replace, have a beer, thank me later and undo all above steps.

BTW, there are two metal retaining clips that hold on the upper dash, the best way to resintall them, is to remove them from the dash, put them onto the two tabs that fit into them, and push them as one unit into the holes in the middle of the dash. They will spring in and out while locking in place.
