It all started when I was relieved of my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee just prior to a deployment with the Navy by a gracious but uninsured driver in Connecticut.
Not to worry — I walked away slightly dazed and uninjured. After six months of living car payment-free I was itching to get back on the road upon my return. In a few short weeks and a drive or two in AbEx's wagon I was sold - if I could find a Colorado Red 1.8T with leather and cold weather package. My demands were difficult, supposedly there were only two in the region at the time. So off I went to pick her up 3 states away in Mass.
It has been a great 65k miles — mostly highway. There have been a small amount of mods along the way, which I hope to add to. The latest, thanks to Fabio, was Icelink. I can't believe I have lived without it for this long. Maybe someday soon I'll get chipped.
After lurking around on several boards I finally found a place to post my profile. I thank AbEx for introducing me to this fine community. Thank you moderators for selection as oneB5 this month.
